2023-2024 Georgian figure skating

Since Georgian figure skaters showed success last season and have successfully started the current season, there is a feeling that a separate topic for Georgian figure skating is needed.

Beginning with the new 2023-2024 athletic season, the following athletes will compete in the senior class on behalf of Georgia:

Anastasia Gubanova (women's singles)
Alina Urushadze (women's singles)
Nika Egadze (men's singles)
Anastasia Metelkina and Luka Berulava (sport pair)

Diana Davis and Gleb Smolkin (ice dancing)
Maria Kazakova and Georgy Revia (ice dancing)

From the new season, the following will compete in the junior category:
Inga Gurgenidze,
Konstantin Supatashvili,
Aisha Alakhverdieva,
Ekaterine Yazadji (Batumi Sports Center),
Maria Aliyeva and Yehor Barshak (ice dancing)

Congratulations to the Georgian national team for two silver medals at the Ondrej Nepela Memorial!

Nika Egadze is having a fantastic outings so far with 2 silver medals already.

He has the quads so just really need to work on his stamina and consistency.

Although as a team they have almost zero depth, their few senior skaters are pretty good and top 8 materials, even medal contenders in a good day.

It's time to wish the Georgian national team good luck in Astana! All the strongest athletes from the junior and senior teams have been announced for the Denis Ten Memorial.
And, of course, good luck to Anastasia Gubanova at the Grand Prix de France!

Denis Ten Memorial brought Georgia a scattering of medals!

Men's singles: Nika Egadze - silver
Nika's skating was not the most successful with two pops and 1 falls, but nevertheless it's a medal.

Women's singles: Arina Urushadze - bronze
Good skating of Arina and expected medal.

Ice dance: Diana Davis and Gleb Smolkin - gold
A convincing victory with two almost clean skates!

Junior Men: Konstantin Supatashvili - silver
Konstantin successfully performed 3A in the free program for the first time in his career and was almost flawless. The only gross mistake was a fall from almost completed 3A in the short program. Konstantin is getting better day by day, and it's awesome!

Junior Women: Inga Gurgenidze - gold
Despite problems with triple axel and triple lutz, Inga was still the best among juniors.

Ice dance: Maria Alieva and Yehor Barshak - silver
Good performances, great dances and not a bad level of technique for a new pair. We wish the guys to develop and progress further!

Aisha Allakhvedrieva is entered in the advanced novice girls at the Bosphorus Cup.

A new delegation of the Georgian national team is expected at the Bosphorus Cup: Maria Alieva - Yehor Barshak (senior ice dancing), Konstantin Supatashvili (junior men), Inga Gurgenidze (junior women), Aisha Allakhvedrieva (advanced novice girls).
