2023-2024 Russian Nationals Jumping Championships

Only international fans i think.
He is a clown and completely crazy and puts his foot in his mouth frequently, but I have followed him on and off for twenty years and still like him, maybe the fact i don’t speak Russia helps 😃

Yagudin speaks well. People have only complaints about what he sometimes says.
I don't know what you mean, but I've seen Trankov confused or completely lost when hosting events, while Yagudin somehow always does good job.

Definitely not more than Zagitova. Zagitova has gotten quite professional and has way more experience. Valieva is talented at this conversational stuff but still inexperienced.

Not sure about Zagitova. She is quite stiff right now presenting next to Yagudin. And I've seen several translated clips of her interviews where she was actually quite cringe with weird questions and remarks, and you could see the skaters were quite embarrassed and lost for words. And that from more "subdued" skaters like Zhenya but also more outspoken ones like Matvei. And also the interview at the end of women's Nats when she kept going on while you could clearly see Kamila was fighting tears off and couldn't talk (thanks to Trankov, who saved the situation a bit). I don't understand Russian but I don't like her as a interviewer / presenter, it always comes out forced / awkwark . Kamila is actually much more better at putting the people she is interviewing / talking to at ease.

I have to disagree. He was always very much adored for his skating achievements. Being the funnyman does not take away from it - quite the opposite, it makes him even more endearing.
It's just his opinion on some matters that sound a bit archaic in some countries.

Its always people who dont know Russian who have the strongest criticisms. She connects with everybody and her awkward moments are in totally playful faith. Your translations you rely on are completely useless. You dont have to have an opinion on everything you know? You can just admit its a different language and leave the translated another site clips out of it.

You just supported her point perfectly

Well, that's why i said he's mostly disliked by international fans. Unless you mean that he's as much popular internationally as in Russia?

Don't think so, but each to their own.
You can be a fantastic competitive skater and still doing funny numbers in shows and exhibitions - it doesn't take away the skills you win medals with. International fans can actually separate the two. I was a Yag fan because of his skills.
So, he wasn't a clown - he could play a clown. Huge difference.
