Damn.Veronika Zhilina withdraws due to injury![]()
Petrosian was 15th in the standings even with one stage.I guess her spot for nats isn't in jeopardy? IIRC Petrosian qualified with one GP?
Yeah, damn... with certain skaters loosing motivation most probably because of the ban, women category is a rather sad sight this weekend, hopefully Krasnoyarsk will be better...Damn.

Assuming that Zhilina, Akatieva, Khromykh and maybe Sinitsynapray
recover in time, the last stage will be stacked. The other skaters better skate in the next two stages.
Considering that she was on the list until the very end, it's something last moment. There're Plushenko's shows in a week. I think the severity of her injury will be clear by whether she performs.rip, I was so excited to see Nika...But she didn't look injured in any of the recent vids I've seen of her (including one from two days ago where she was dancing around), so I assume it's not super serious, maybe something like a strain. Hopefully she's able to compete at the later stages without issue.

just let it not be something like a fracture from a bad fallI really feel that Sinitsina still has something to bring to Russian skating, but I just have no faith in Khromykh anymore. The Olympic team barring disaster was always going to be Anna, Kamila, and Sasha, and everyone else is just so much well better than Maiya now. Maybe a change of country? I was saddened to read that Kazakhstan rejected Sofia Samodelkina. I guess it's not so easy to country hop now. Good for Gubanova and Kurakova who did this all before the ban and they have pretty successful careers now, but a shame for the Sins, Sams, Frols, etc.Damn.
