2023-24 Russian Grand Prix - Stage 3 - Krasnoyarsk

RIA says her summer injury worsened.
TASS says she has a bruise.

I personally think that stress fractures don't heal this quick unfortunately.
I think she should have stayed off the ice much longer than she did and skipped the test skates.
I wonder if their best bet rn is qualification to nats due to the fact that she is national team member. If she isn't jumping rn due to pain she likely wont be for the 5th and 6th stages that are in less than a month either.

She just can't catch a break can she. A crummy birthday to start with which kept her out of competitions she would have won. Then she was deprived of the Junior Worlds title, now injured. I hope she takes the entire year off to heal and manages to come back. This year is pretty meaningless in the grand scheme of things, so better she heals to give her a chance for the future.

Oh, Nikolai is here. Feels like I haven't seen or heard anything about him in forever. Curious as to how he's looking

Yep. I think she came back too soon...we've seen with Rika how much damage a stress fracture can do. I honestly hope we don't see her for the rest of the season. She needs to take the time to stay off the ice and properly rest her foot unless she wants to do permanent damage. Really no reason to risk it for domestic comps.

Yametova had an injury.

Frolova, Yametova, Kulikova and Agaeva have similar content, one mistake may change everything.
Yametova skated earlier this month at a regional event. She scored 210+ (213.43) and skated cleanly 😛

I love all these athletes. Really looking forward to this event. The ladies finally can bout it out without ultra-c elements. It must be encouraging to know they have a chance. Go ladies!

Hey they finally got the proper fanfare back!

I was wondering who was calling me :laugh2:

Is anyone watching? And if so is your stream playing the sound fine but the picture keeps freezing? 🤔

Strong opening skate. This junior's stage is extremely stacked.

Why is nobody interested in junior's? Lots of hidden gems and future talent. Some of these girls are 100% going to dominate the international scene in a few years.

Because some needs curves to enjoy a sport. Others think that they are less skilled than seniors so don't deserve as much attention.

They are only less skilled by a small margain.

Well, if we look at the best girls like Bazyluk, then they actually blow almost all the seniors out of the water.

It seems clear now to me though that one of the biggest differences between seniors and juniors is stamina even moreso that pure technique. These girls are dropping strong 3-3s to start but cant keep the momentum up for long and finish with low level spins and StSq.

Again based on what did Alisa Polyakova get here, she was only 14th in moscow championships and most of the girls ahead of her are yet to receive one stage? Her next outing she didnt make it out of the short program, there's no logic on how she got the spot vs Liza who was in 3rd or Lukashova who was in 5th. Hell Diana Milto 11th and Kira Monogarova 10th who competed really well in moscow yesterday had better case for a spot here.
