If we look at the top, juniors are not less skilled at all. Some seniors (not all) have the so called "maturity" and that is what justifies their advantage in PCS. Aside that, top juniors are as much skilled if not more. That's why they win senior nats or at least finish on podium.

It's at the bottom that we see the clear difference. Because in JGPs, everyone is allowed, while in senior GPs there is a selection. Thta's why we see skaters with very weak SS and only double jumps in JGPs while we don't see that in senior GP.

Yea, thats what I was saying is Bazyluk and co. blow seniors out of the water, barring the few best girls like Petrosian who have the advanced artistry and experience to take their art on another level.

There definitely have been examples of peak artistry in juniors, though. Trusova was very artistic when she was younger - I think far more than her olders years (after she dyed her hair red). Shcherbakova and Valieva too were incredible artists as juniors, so I'm not sure that argument holds up either. The artistic gap does seem to exist in this particular season, though.

Clearly she did, but I'm sure with her technique she could've done better music justice as well.

Man, it kind of feels off putting when the skater is on their own post-skate without trainer. Even if they are in good spirit, I feel bad for them.

Yes, I agree. I wasnt suggesting that you were posing that argument yourself, but you posited the general idea on behalf of others which is too often used - "seniors are more artistic". I was just explaining that I think that they would be incorrect in such a position.

But, for this season, I dont think any juniors match the artistry of Petrosian, Valieva, Muravieva and others, although theres definitely a lot of girls with clear potential like Bazyluk, Titova or Mazur.

That happened to me last stage, left before it was finished.

Im excited to see Kravchina, she should deliver. Hopefully and likely a podium performance at least.
