2023-24 Russian Local Events – Discussion

I watched parts of the girls free skate. It's always jarring when I watch Russian girls skate again after watching a recent event held Austria. It's not that the other girls are terrible, just the Russian girls are so good at what they do!

Interesting, where the medals already awarded? If so is there another ceremony?
They were awarded imideatly after the freeskate, I dont believe they will re do that. Likely Liza and Margo will receive the correct medals later on.

Sucks for all 3 girls. Especially Alena and Liza, Alena due to disappointment of loosing a medal you thought you had and Liza for not being able to stand on the podium to receive her medal. Honestly I think this might be the only major medal Liza will likely earn this season as she lacks ultra c jumps so that extra sucks for her to not get the full experience of medaling here.

Ooo! Sofia Sarnovskaya is in this category, yay!

Except she doesn't skate until second last, so I won't be able to watch her live. Boo.

Revised junior women results.

1. Milana Lebedeva 213.03
2. Margarita Bazylyuk 209.34
3. Elizaveta Andreeva 205.47
4. Alena Prineva 204.87
Good. Still Margo ended up 2nd after Lebedeva could have happened only in Moscow competition, with Lebedeva being from CSKA.

Gosh, I only caught up to junior men for D2 yesterday, but what a treat. I really liked Lukin coming back, plus there were some lovely skates by Malyshev, and Aleksakhin, and Tikhonov, and, of course, Voronov going for 4Lz was a surprise! So sad about Andrusik thooooough... Lazarev with his bird-feeding program was fun. Honestly, I am hoping women are still there for me tonight. Gosh, these young men would have topped the lists in any JGP stage, that's for sure. I miss them in competitions with grand and celebratory atmosphere. And Ted...

So many bright pretty costumes with these little girls, they all look adorable. So sick of seeing black worn by young girls.
Russian figure skating is like American gymnastics-just a giant level above the rest of the world.

1st grade girls SP.
Age - 10-12 years old.
17 girls
No 2+2 combo or double solo jumps.
Only two 3+2 combos.
Five clean 3Lz+3T combos.

First after SP Sofia Sarnovskaya, TES 38.81 (total score is not comparable to Juniors because of other rules, while TES is comparable to Junior and Senior Short Program).

Can you guys tell me if these ones are selections for the CoRGP?
It was announced that it was a qualifier for the Spartakiade. I don't understand the sense of holding the selection so early, the event will be only in February, but the Moscow federation has its own reasons.

I'm a big patriot of my small motherland and I watch competitions in Khanty-Mansiysk. Girls of 1st category jump 3Lz+3T, 3F+3T, there are also 3+2 combinations. However, these kids are from the provinces, they cannot afford such a high level of coaching support like a Moskow girls. But they do it anyway.
