we definitely should cause the link collection thread is definitely getting derailed like thisMaybe we should start a pre-match chat in a separate thread as this is a biggie, as we'll have separate threads for every stage as usual.

For different reason actually.we definitely should cause the link collection thread is definitely getting derailed like this![]()

Shame I guess we wont see her during the cup stages. She is capable of much better even in the free but its the short that majorly let her down this time around.
We probably should ask the mods to move the discussion to another thread as its still on going and it's now more than page long. For different reason actually.
well done!

1: I think they are changing the format but yes its the last season Jumping tournamentA few questions on this season's calendar...
1) Did the Jumping Competition/Tournament actually get rebranded as the "Jumping Nationals"?
2) What is the Russian Challenge? Is that the Program Competition? Or is it something different? (And, if it's different, is the Program Competition happening this season?)
3) Am I right that the (Senior) Grand Prix Final is what's listed as "Spartakiad (seniors)," which is happening in February? If so, why isn't the Junior Grand Prix Final being held as part of Spartakiad, as well? Why is it taking place as a separate event one month later?
ISU has asked for the punishment to be 2 years from the day she tested positive, thats probably where people have got that notion from. WADA I think were asking for 4 years but idk if thats still the case.Exactly. If Russia is blatantly non-compliant with CAS and WADA, for example by allowing Kamila to compete despite whatever the ruling winds up being, they'll basically be eliminating their chances of being readmitted. And not just for figure skating, but for all its sports.
Keep in mind that these rulings generally prohibit all competitive *and* training *and* show activities. Kamila basically wouldn't be allowed to step on the ice for as long as the punishment lasts. Or else she and Russia will be found non-compliant.
Also, I wouldn't assume the punishment will start as of the date she tested positive. She's been regularly competing, training, and doing shows in the nearly two years since then; in fact, she was highest earning skater in Russia last season. So I could see CAS, WADA, etc. saying that this time shouldn't count towards her punishment, and that rather her punishment should start as of the day of their ruling.

she might get a time deduction tho
It had this name last season as well.1) Did the Jumping Competition/Tournament actually get rebranded as the "Jumping Nationals"?
Program competititon, yes.2) What is the Russian Challenge? Is that the Program Competition? Or is it something different? (And, if it's different, is the Program Competition happening this season?)
The Spartakiad is held every year and includes different sports. It is usually for juniors or novices. Because of the ban, the Sports Minirstry decided to do it for seniors. And the FS federation decided to cancel the senior final, because it would be two similar competitions in the same month.3) Am I right that the (Senior) Grand Prix Final is what's listed as "Spartakiad (seniors)," which is happening in February? If so, why isn't the Junior Grand Prix Final being held as part of Spartakiad, as well? Why is it taking place as a separate event one month later?
She's really improved her jumps. There is some potential. I so hope she'll be Elena Alexandrovna's next star pupil.Karina has really big jumps, overall a good skate from her, some messy landings and lost spin levels but she stayed up on her feet and fought hard to get everything doneshe might get a time deduction tho
