Ksenia Gushchina is actively preparing for the new season. The figure skater from Kirill Davydenko's group will present her new programs very soon. This summer was not easy for Kseniya, because in addition to constant training on the ice, she had to spend a lot of time studying. In June, the athlete successfully passed the final exams for the 9th grade.

" Ksenia's preparation for the season is going very well. Because she passed her exams, she had to miss our first training camp in Sochi. But in Orenburg Ksenia was with us and actively involved in the preparation of new programs. Now our whole group has returned to St. Petersburg, where we continue training at the Figure Skating Academy", - said the coach of Kirill Davydenko's group Aleksandrina Degtyareva.

"Very soon" is sooner than September? 🤔 Oh, that's very intriguing. Speaking of the suddenly strengthened ties between Moskvina's group and Davydenko's group, perhaps they will announce Ksenia to one of Tamara Moskvina's master classes?

Anna Frolova's SP music is likely "I am not there" (Там нет меня / Tam net menya). Choreo by Valentin Molotov

Please, I love this song, but can we stop using it? At least for a little while?

I feel like I've heard it too often too recently in too many different versions (Titova's SP 2021/22, Kostornaia's gala 2022, Sinitsina/Katsalapov gala 2019/20, and it's used quite a bit on the novice and junior circuit anyways)

That’s a lovely piece of music for Ksenia. The second piece is Laura Palmers Theme. It really suits her style of skating really well. I hope she has a successful season.

30 years or more since Twin Peaks aired and I still listen to the soundtrack.

This series is incredibly popular in Russia, I still remember the times when it was shown on TV. In some sense, it has become part of our cultural space.
This is what the coaches meant when they said that we would see Ksyusha in unusual images. Well, I think the experiment was a success. It is really good that they are not going to go the usual way and are playing up the athlete's artistry. This program looks "expensive", "elitist", I think.

Beautiful song. 🥰

I think that one girl saying that is not enough to make it official.
Fact is Sasha jumped it first in competition...

Nevertheless both girls are great athletes, Anna is a World and Olympic Champion and Sasha is a quad revolution icon.
No need to keep putting them against each other all the time.

Instaquad doesn't matter much otherwise Tuktik would also be in the quad squad and Trusova among those who successfully landed 3A.
But imo being the first to successfully land the quad doesn't necessarily mean being the one who made the revolution. Knowing that if Shcherbakova hadn't got injured she could have been the first, depending of the order of the JGP assignements, makes this debate fruitless for me. Trusova wasn't the only one practicing quads and landing them in practice. If she had not landed them the first, quad revolution still would have happened imo. Dudakov is the one who should get credit for it.

Yep, fans can get a bit toxic at the "who started it" debate, in reality they both did it because they both knew the other was around and practicing them at the same time, would they have still worked on them if the other wasn't around, we'll never know. In the history books they both have records for quad firsts. Not sure what there is to gain by getting some absolute of who was the very first in practice to do it

Exactly and both succeed, Olympic Champion and second place landing quads.
I remember all the hate comments when Sasha landed successfully the toe and salkow in the junior final after trying all the season, she was destroying the figure skating 😂

Naysayers will always have only hateful things to say.
This is no destroying figure skating, this is figure skating evolution and we had the pleasure to see these Russian amazing ladies doing it.
