wth, I just noticed that the ice age youtube channel has been terminated...there were so many amazing programs that came from the show too :frown: does anyone have a link to a different site with the videos? (specifically, the ones from ice age kids)
Channel One website: https://www.1tv.ru/shows/lednikovyy-period-deti/vypuski

It's geoblocked in some countries by local providers. VPN may be required (not exactly Russian VPN, any country without geoblock. The most popular VPN country, the Netherlands, for example).

The entire FS program has been put up. The individual skates are on the website separately as well.

Anyone know where to find the schedule for upcoming competition stages?

I haven't either.

Maiia has entered her sophistication era. That program was beautiful.

Indeed, her skating is getting more and more beautiful as she gets more mature...
Good to see I’m not the only one left on the bandwagon.

It might take more time, but it will click one day and it will all come together for her.

She had the ability and the attributes, I think it’s more mental at this point than anything else.

Yametova and Sadkova have withdrawn from test skates.

Veronika got a leg injury due to collision in training. She returned to training two days ago.

Daria isn't training due to a foot injury.
I was wondering why I didn’t see any videos of Veronika pop up? 🥹
She has a good chance this year to compete as I didnt see much consistency from the skaters at Test Skates.

I don't know about you guys but I feel very underwhelmed about our ladies this year.

Valieva's jumps look even better this year, but she has gotten slow, her skating skills really degraded, she now looks like Tuktik did in the past, no flow in step sequence and moves look too elaborated. Of course as long as she hits her jumps judges keep giving her those ridiculous scores.
I like the short program but the long one is a huge miss.

Adelia was great but same problem as all those previous seasons, she would get pity points for those REP quads, it makes her vulnerable.

Mura is a total package when it comes to PCS but her programs/packaging are getting repetitive, she can do better than this I think.
She always had some consistency flukes, nothing to do but to hope for the best.

Ksenia's programs are perfect, she is a beautiful artistic skater. I don't think she can win anything at all but she is a lovely addition to every competition.

Maiia I never understood the attention she is given, I would much rather see Frolova for example. Same inconsistent triples but Anna is more interesting artistically.

Tuktik's short program is great for her, she even seems fast over ice in it. And I'm glad that she was able to keep the quality of spins.

Akatieva, the short is very pompous, I hate it. It doesn't show her lovely qualities at all.

Nika, Anastasia - both very young skaters, and both very promising. They just need the competition experience for now.

And a question, is Russia was allowed to compete at the World's, who would you sent if you were them?
They have one spot, if they would manage to win, they would have 3 next year.

If it was just me I'd send Kseniia, she's my absolute favourite and she has everything needed to hold her own in international competitions. Though she may not challenge Kaori for the title, if only because she doesn't have the momentum Kaori has after two Worlds title, so if I have to pick from the skaters with stronger jumps I'll send Mura, sure she's a bit nervy at times but she just skates beautifully.

But if it ever does happen that Russia is allowed to compete at Worlds it's practically a given that they will pick Adeliia, she's the obvious choice.

Valieva is recovering from a surgery 10 days before; she barely got to practice and her weight exploded from what we saw in training just recently... and STILL she showed world class precision at a test skate. And no her long program objectively isn't a miss. You can dislike it personally, but she has no reason to do another lyrical balletic program when she already proved nobody touches her in that aspect (although yes, she is my favourite in those moments, too). She can do contemporary and show off her versatility - I would too.

Dont disagree about Adeliia, but if she dropped 255 at grand prix last season who are we to judge? Seems nit-picky.

Mura is repetitive? Come on. She was the most artistic skater there (ok, maybe barring Adeliia's FS). In what way is her SP anything like her previous SPs? Her SP choreo was unique and interesting in comparison to literally anyone ever. Her long program is lyrical as usual, but its her style. Would you rather she did some overused tango or exhibitionistic michael jackson performance? You didnt seem to like Valieva's zealous contemporary program so I wonder what exactly you expect from Mura. And her jumps were goregeous especially for a test skate.

Agree about Kseniia.

Agree about Maiia, though I feel guilty about disliking her skating. And yes I love Frolova a lot as well. Wish she was there for it.

Akateva - I find it funny how people are hating on her just because her dress was too pretty for them. :coffee:

Nika and Nastya were both great and completely competitive. Either could potentially be top 3 assuming a successful season.

I dont understand why you say you were underwhelmed. Mura, Valieva and Petrosian would all be strong world #1 contenders if not favourites internationally. Otherwise Nastya had awesome programs, Nika showed off her technique (her FS was actually interesting, SP not so much, but oh well), Kseniia was super enjoyable artistically. If you dont like Akateva thats fine (I liked her personally), but thats 1 skater which shouldnt be enough to disappoint when the rest were all fine... and we didnt even get to see her FS!! Nobody was at all bad although Tuktik and Maiia were conventionally boring (in my opinion). Im not even sure what you expected for it to have been not underwhelming for you. Did you want them all to skate at Olympic level at test skates? Please elaborate more about your dissatisfaction.

Not to mention, we didn't even get to see Frolova or Gushchina.

The obvious candidates are Petrosyan, Mura and Tuktik.

I will send Petrosyan just because she has the highest scoring ceiling.

I don't think any of those 3 will get a lot of PCS love even if they skate lights out so to only way to muscle up a win is through Tech.

Petrosyan also seem to respond to pressure better than Mura and maybe Tuktik.

Akateva is my spirit capture.. we have the same birthday. I love everything she does.. Also love the end of Kami’s SP with her nod to the judges.. very funny.

It also depends big time on the timeline of when Russians will be officially let back during the season and what they will be allowed to compete in. Remember Mura and Adeliya dont have senior minimums to compete in worlds nor Europeans rn they need to gain them by competing in challengers or in other Senior B comps. If they allow them back too late for the girls to get them or they only allow them to compete at worlds but nothing else this season then Liza might be the only option. I would send Liza, if she decides to continue to compete this season either way as the judges know her and she was receiving pretty good scores prior to the ban. She doesn't need gold at worlds silver will do and with her 3A and decent 2 skates she should do that rather easily.
