Japanese team shows promise. Liked skating better than the actual program (Adagio brought me back 15 years or more to era of shredded costuming and squarness I do not want to bring back).
Damien Rice will always bring me skating memory of Dube/Davison in 2008 winning Worlds bronze with this song as FS. It's a nice choice, I wish though we could retire style of sheer 'skirts' with same color undergarments going underneath. It isn't even cute imho.

Layla's dress reminds me of Marjorie Lajoie's Warsaw Concerto FD dress (still one of my all time faves, I am partial to green/blue hues).
Now, Sara abd Atsuhiko...I want to rave positively, but so did I over Kida/Morita and it ended badly. I simply refuse to get my hopes up too much for Japanese ID teams.

The only two constants of Japanese ice dance - Women with absolute star potential and teams barely lasting a season before splitting.
Oh, and I guess there is a third constant - Our dear old married couple of Komatsubara/Koleto.
