Étienne is a strong skater.. probably little experience in pairs? It is too bad because they missed the lift and the DS in the warm up and he let that get to him during the performance that was otherwise going well.

He skated in pre-novice pairs last season, while Beau is the novice national silver medalist, so both have a little bit of experience in pairs, but not too much.

For completion's sake, Christophe was 4th in pairs at Novice Nats last season, and Noemi skated in pre-novice pairs a few seasons ago, but not sure she kept it up until now.

I apparently had too much time in January so I did actually watch Novice Nats - We'll see how that works out this season
