I was hoping that Stephen could repeat his performance from Nationals but that was probably asking for too much. At least he didn't give up on the program. Hopefully he puts it together next season.

Not to kick a guy when he's down, but I think he DID give up on the program. Jumps aside (and they weren't terrible except for the 4S attempts) he was dropping levels left and right.

I get they're all having trouble with the altitude, but he should be fighting for that World's spot.

I never tire of telling this story: When I attended 2019 Junior Worlds, a Japanese woman sitting in my row threw flowers to Koshiro and she accidentally also threw her phone. Whenever he skates, I am tempted to throw my finest rotary phone out of solidarity, but sadly it is too bulky.

I will admit that as much as I like Koshiro I personally think he’s more of a Harold Lloyd or a Buster Keaton than a Chaplin, but I guess they don’t have immediately recognizable musical motifs…

Mistimed the ice remake and missed Shaidorov, I see he did great. Bit of a struggle for Gogolev. Shimada with some mistakes but loads of charm.
