14 David SHTEYNGART CAN 17yo, 2nd year on JGP. Diga Diga Doo - Big Bad Voodoo Daddy. There is a smoothness and security to his skating. He had fun in a quiet way. Too bad there was no combo. I feel like he would make an excellent pairs guy if singles does not work out for him.

And you know what, I liked David's costume!

Not sure about the braces on top of the waistcoat.

And even less sure about Mark's pun about him "embracing the Canadian representation"!

But, each to their own.

Is it just me, or did the Canadian flag bow that he put on his head afterwards make anybody else think of Minnie Mouse?

Anyway, it was fun.

16 Chiu Hei CHEUNG HKG skates to It's a Sin (good choice). Sit down on second jump of combo, touchdown on 3LZ. A bit slow and tentative. this program had so much potential and i am sorry but I am underwhelmed. Ted says he has had a growth spurt.

When Ted said he was skating to "It's A Sin" I thought "Ah good! I'm surprised we didn't get lots of Pet Shop Boys in the Ice Dance this season. And this song would make a great Dance programme".

Then the music started, and I thought "Oh, it's a different song".

Then the vocals kicked in and I realised "No it's not a different song. It's a cover that is VERY different to the original".

What an awful cover! It was bad enough when it started, but it got worse as it went on!

My apologies go out to Neil Tennant and Chris Lowe for what whoever this is has done to their song (the ISU Bio only has the song title).

Chiu Hei didn't look very happy waiting for his sores. And when they came up, I didn't blame him.

Into 13th, exactly 1 point ahead of Kryshtof PRADEAUX (AUS), and too big a gap to Vadym NOVIKOV (UKR) ahead of him.
