2023 U.S. Nationals Sr. Men's Short Program

I love Daniel's camel spin--the best tonight. This music makes me miss Nathan Chen--I wish Daniel would have made better use of the fast part of the music.

Nice job Daniel. Great Lakers are proud, although i am on the other side.

I don't understand why you'd pick music for an up-and-coming skater when you know it will not compare favorably with the other guy who skated to it.

Samuel's percussion program is looking better and better.

There was a discussion on the Jr Men's Free skate thread about who to send to Jr Worlds. Daniel and Will were mentioned as age eligible as possible instead of Jacob/Robert. Well based on this I'd say go with the three Jr medalists. They earned it.

Samuel, Liam and Andrew (even with a fall) showing it can be done. Good skates, that is.

I don't even associate Woodkid all that much with Nathan, but Daniel's program needed more pizazz. I'm not sure that Daniel or Will earned the junior worlds spot over Jacob based on these skates, but we have more skates to go.

Ok y’all. I just don’t know what is up with Jimmy. He said earlier in the year that he peaked too soon last year - and I do agree, I think he peaked at Golden Spin, but his score wasn’t as terrible as I thought it would be and maybe he won’t be too buried. He’s gotten 6th 2 years in a row and will surely be upset if he doesn’t do better than he just did. I fear for his JP assignments. I just don’t know what’s going on with him, physical, mental, haircut, injury? But something is not right.
