Confession - it was only a few years ago that I discovered that I had been getting the lyrics wrong all along.

I knew from the time it was first released that a lot of places banned it from being played, but I could never understand why. I thought they were worried about getting sued by people who claimed that they were promoting alcoholism by playing a song where the singer was listing a lot of alcoholic drinks that they were drinking.

Suffice to say, when I found out the correct lyrics, I totally understood the ban!

It had nothing to do with the listing of drinks, but rather some bad language that I had misheard.
