I'm not entirely familiar with Maleficent... but am I to believe that she may perform as a villain?

Oh, I hope so!

Maleficent is the evil fairy that places the curse on the title character in "Sleeping Beauty".

So, yeah, she'll be a villain.

The big question, though, is will she have a crow...? 🐦‍⬛

I love both her programs.

It will be a real shame if no one skates to Neil Diamond in Boston…I am…I said…

Even better…America. Also it is nearly July 4th.

It is now 4th July, and I listened to it today! But it was pure coincidence, because I was actually catching up on a radio programme that was broadcast on 6th June!

Anyone spot Charlie Chaplin at 00:50

I was going to protest "but Charlie's British! Are you guys trying to claim him?!" But then I remembered "sure, the song is all about people coming to America! And that's what Charlie did!" :drama:

Whereas listening to Neil Diamond's "America" today was coincidence, what I did this afternoon was planned. I watched "An American In Paris", which I had taped on New Year's Day. And at one stage during "I've Got Rhythm", Gene Kelly did an impersionation of Charlie Chaplin!

You know, that's what we need in figure skating. More programmes using music from the Gershwins.

Come to think of it, we need more Neil Diamond too! Which brings us back to the Boston theme.

What about someone skating to the group Boston in Boston? Other candidates: Aerosmith, New Kids on the Block.

Step by Step....ooooooo babyyyyyy.

Shipping Up to Boston ;)

Don't forget "Dirty Water" by the Standells...played after sporting events in Boston.

Wasn't familiar with any of those songs, so thank you all for pointing me towards them.

And if Dillon Judge manages to get the minimums for Senior Worlds, it would be appropriate to hear this being played while he is waiting for his scores:

Henry McCullough - "Belfast To Boston"

Yes, I know Dillon is from Lisburn. But, it's close enough to count. Belfast is just a few miles further down the River Lagan from Lisburn.

The arena DJ needs our ideas!

And we are only too willing to help! :)

Several Kaitlyn Weaver and Misha Ge programs, too. It's nice to see some interesting music choices,

When is the first Japanese competition? I can't wait to see these programs!! Are there local domestic competitions or ice shows coming soon??
I think the main ice show was Dream on Ice, in which most of the above skaters had skated to at least one new competitive programs of the new season. As for the up-coming ice show, I guess we'll have to wait until Aug, when (most of) the above skaters are joining the oversea training camp in Italy (there will be a show in Italy particularly for that).

For local competitions during the summer, the discussion is here. Usually the major competition for the summer is the 'Gensan's Summer Cup'. For this year, since the competition is in overlap with the training camp in Italy, the major GP skaters will NOT participate in the Summer Cup.

And for now the next event will be the local training camp for JGP skaters. I think we'll get some more info about the junior skaters soon.
