I was so hoping we could get through a season without Roxanne. That's next on my "oh please just no" list after Carmen.

I've been out of pocket for a few weeks, and I will only be checking in sporadically during the Olympics.

So, if anyone hears news of Ilia Malinin's free program, please give me a holler.

I am desperately hoping it's very dissimilar to his short, which IMO is a clunker choice.

I know we need to keep wishing and hoping to a minimum in this thread, but do you know what I would love to see Ilia do, it would be in his wheelhouse yet at the same time, a stretch?

Copland's Billy the Kid Suite has some excellent sections that could make a very good long program. I can see a powerful skater doing a lot with that music, especially Part II. And if it's been done before, I don't recall it.

Yes. She truly needs to work with different choreographers at this point, not all the time, but all skaters need variety.

Unfortunately, she is loyal to her choreographer Solya who has very limited range and even less taste.

I think she desperately needs to switch things up (including coaching) but that clearly isn't happening and I predict her downward trajectory to continue this season.

I was really happy for Loena when she won gold at Europeans, but she's not my favorite skater to watch, mostly because her programs all sort of look the same to me. And isn't Gubanova working with Adam Solya now as well? Her SP last season already went in a direction where I thought that she wanted to skate like Loena, so now it will probably become even more obvious...
