OT But Netherlands Danilova & Tsiba used The Chain last season.. wonder if their inspiration was FM or GOTG..🙃

I would say it's neither. Given that they're representing the Netherlands, it has to be Formula 1.

Dutch driver Max Verstappen has dominated the sport in recent years, and has made the sport incredibly popular in the country.

Just across the water, the BBC have used "The Chain" as the theme tune for their F1 coverage since at least 1979.

It just can't be a coincidence that a Dutch partnership decided to skate to "The Chain"!

Here is a very special one-off version of the intro, as introduced by the legendary commentator Murray Walker:

Thanks for the insight!
This makes perfect sense and is of course completion of the story… someone commented last year this music was an odd choice for them but I did not agree and was thrilled.

I think Isabeau is staying in her lane. Her balletic approach to her programs, her long, beautiful lines and grace on the ice will make these so-called warhorses (I don't agree with this by the way) come to life. My only hope for Isabeau is a silly one - that she doesn't wear dresses down to her knees.

Okay, since Kaitlyn Weaver (F/D's choreographer) just revealed on IG Flores/ Desyatov's FD music, I can say what it is before they skate their FD at Lake Placid:

RD:
Chuck Berry 'You Never Can Tell' (inspired by Pulp Fiction);
Kool & the Gang 'Jungle Boogie';
Jerry Lee Lewis 'Great Balls of Fire'

FD:
Music selections from soundtrack of the Oscar-winning film, Poor Things
🔥
Bella Flores is Bella Baxter
Ivan Desyatov is a mixture of Duncan, Max, Godwin

ETA:

Very cool that Kaitlyn credits the film choreographer's work!

At first blush—
Offbeat, possibly wonderful choice for the Browns!
Dreadful choice for Pate/Bye, given that I loathe Chaplin, and its potential for excessive cuteness, in all its forms :)
