Annika Behnke/Kole Sauve (Pairs, Canada) were removed from the Junior Pairs TES statistics page, current as of June 18, 2024.

Other Canadian teams that split/retired were removed from the statistics. They're registered as singles for several domestic competitions in Canada, so this is confirmation that they have split.

Another split + retirement + new partnership:
Hilda Taylor / Nolen Hickey (FIN, Jr Ice Dance) have split, as Nolen has retired:

Hilda Taylor has paired up with Alexander Buchholdt (formerly GBR) per the entry list for JGP Riga.

Tae Ok Ryom/Kum Chol Han are a new Pairs team for North Korea.

Both of them were good with their former partners, so they'll definitely be in the hunt for Olympic qualification (which is probably why we're going to be seeing them now).

I wonder if a unified team for the figure skating team competition could happen like the Ice Hockey team at the 2018 Olympics. 🤔 South Korea has competitive entries in both singles disciplines and a decent ice dance team, but no pairs team.

Daniela Ivanitskiy / Matthew Sperry are a new ice dance team for Finland. They competed together at the Finnish test skates, in senior ice dance.

Matthew previously competed with Kristina Bland for the US; Daniela previously competed with David Goldshetyn for Finland.

Daniela and her former partner, David Goldshetyn, trained with Matthew and his former partner, Kristina Bland, under Igor Shpilband in Detroit. So, Daniela and Matthew probably began working together after they both lost their former partners. Looks like a good fit for both. Plus, it's nice for Matthew to be able to rep Finland since the U.S. is stocked full of talented ice dancers with few opportunities to break through to the top.

^^ Ah, how cool for Iceland! 😎 🧊

The way these two are staring into each other's eyes, I imagine they have known each other for awhile as competitors and friends in the skating world. It appears they decided to form an interesting pair team post Piazza's split with Valesi. Are they training in Italy? In any case, Iceland is seemingly conducive as a location for building ice skating talent and an enthusiastic, albeit chill audience!

That's a pity as she was quite a memorable skater, but I wish her the best in her new life path. Did she give any reasons?

She did. She found herself having lost the motivation to train, especially since her two Idols died at the beginning of the year. Both Joan Haanappel and Sjoukje Dijkstra (Olympic champion 1964) inspired her and their deaths were a blow.
