2025 BC Super Series Summer Skate | Aug 14-17

i think its abt time SC gave Uliana the TBD spot, i love Gabby, but its also good to promote up & coming talent, maybe can encourage her to work on her PCS even-more when she realises that if she improves her PCS more align with her tech she could rly challenge for canada number 1 or 2 in the next olympic cycle

Congrats to Uliana for winning here!!
She was surprised and happy with the 171.75 total score. I think this guarantees her a Challenger. I found her skating to be a bit boring as she just goes from one element to another element.

Uliana is in the 4-6 range (w/Gabby and Kaiya). If those two fail to surpass the 166 benchmark, I would give the spot to Uliana. Else, I will give it to the higher finisher between Gabby or Kaiya. Uliana didn’t place that high at Nationals.

I thought Lai/Liu had a nice opening, the sudden disney channel music was a little abrupt for me but music cuts I don't like are normal for ice dance. They are a junior team so it makes sense. Good team.

I'll add Ghost: The Musical to the music that clears easily 😑 Homick/Buelow and now Karino/Song have free dances for it.

Not quite sold yet on solo dance as a discipline, but I am sold on Kate McCall's dress! I really enjoy all of the pom-poms!

How about a JGP for Wong / Conforti, now that they've placed ahead of Cheung / Lee (who have JGP Bangkok)

They aren't age eligible for any international competitions this season. She has another season before she's Junior eligible and he is no longer eligible for Novice international competitions.

I’m surprised at the skate Uxia had, very young & immature a lot of pressure on one so young not a great skate.

Oh yes I hope Calissa gets chosen I love the presentation her marks in USA & now her Short program was beautiful at summer skate.

I think I've got an answer on Breau/Che. They were at a spring development camp held by Skate Alberta-NWT-Nunavut in June. Sectional entries should confirm that they'll be representing Alberta at Challenge.
