2024 Cup of China Men's Free Skate

I understand now why so many skaters gave compliments to us in the audience in Finland. I thought it was normal to support everybody as I have seen in many other countries too, especially Spain and UK. Edit, it is the culture not to be so loud. They show their support with plushies, in Finland even local skaters did not get many.

Ugh, 2Lutz to start for Adam. 4toe+3toe with hand down. 3flip. 1Axel+2Axel. 4toe. 3Lutz+euler+3Salchow. 3Axel overrotated and landed at a stand still. It will be really difficult to podium with that effort. :( You never know though; the next 2 men could men really hard.

Another no. The sound effects at the beginning of all of his programs for the past two years, the rest break on the ice(!!), the meaningless backflip, the wild jumps…it was no better than Egadze’s program.

Despite my not liking all of Benoit's choreo I cannot help but be excited by Adam's skating. The speed and the way he throws himself into his programs is so admirable. Even if I find a move trite I never doubt that he believes it. His face is red and I never doubt that he gave it his all. I wish he could come up with a more consistent jump technique but I think never knowing what will happen is part of the Adam aura.

How can Nika Egadze be awarded 73 for PCS? There was next to nothing happening between the jumps.
scores to his coach, not to his skate. He is always overscored. Maybe the lack of choreo is because they try to get him to focused to jumps. I think he would have potential to perform, if his choreo would give him opportunity to show it.

Adam... I wish he would focus on polishing his skills and consistency rather that bringing two SP and jumping backflips everywhere. Such a silly strategy for a talent like his. The programs this seasons are bad. The pause the middle is way to long and second hand embarrassment. Sorry, i really like him and I'm dissapointed.

I just never know how to feel about Adam's programs. I really liked his free last season, and to be honest I think the backflip that he sometimes used was more impactful... but now I'm just not sure. It's definitely impressive, I just don't know how to feel about it. I will say though that when he skates I definitely can't stop watching him.
I'll be happy to see him in the GPF, I'm just conflicted lol.

OK, that is now two "Dune" programmes that I have seen today, and I didn't like either of them.

But, I am not a fan of Adam's skating anyway. Too many of these acrobatic things that should still be banned in competition programmes and only be brought out for exhibition programmes.

I'll be honest, the inclusion of adagio moves in competition programmes is making me enjoy them less.
