damn time violation and level 2 steps... told you Shun... but also #wuzrobbed

GIVE HIM 100+, JUDGES! The jumps were gorgeous, his spins are so much better than when he first turned senior, and his skating has improved so much! Guillaume took his more understated performance and strong posture to create the perfect program for him - by emphasizing simple, elegant movement with high quality, this program is so gorgeous, and Shun really has a great sensitivity now to this delicate music. His attention to the fingertip movement really puts the bow on it. So good, definitely one of my favourite shorts of the season. My only complaint is that overhead camerawork during the steps preventing us from fully appreciating those opening few moves (also level 2? come on Shun, that's the sort of thing that really matters for the 100+ club)

I may as well just repeat what I wrote about Yelim at the NHK Trophy:

I was hoping that somebody would do a tribute to Maggie Smith this season by skating to this music.
And I am so glad it was by somebody who is as beautiful a skater as Yelim Shun.
Thank you! :thank:
Everything about that was beautiful.

A well deserved new leader.

I do think I prefer this short over Gangsta's Paradise, largely because there is no distracting hood, but there is no denying that whatever the music Adam will commit 120%. I am not a huge fan of some of the choreo - the hand movements are very Benoit - but the held outside edges are gorgeous, and his speed throughout the steps is really incredible. Those jumps, though... he had issues with the axis in Montreal, and that looks to still be plaguing him.
