2024 Eastern Sectional Singles and U.S. Pairs Final

The age is not changing next season. It will still be 17.

Which team was allowed where the male was too old?

They aren't going to make exceptions in this case. If they aren't going to make an exception for Mao Shimada, they will not make one for Ellie.
Sorry, I thought I deleted age thing. I double checked. It’s currently staying at 17. I thought that the ISU initially said 18.

I don’t remember who it was - horrible with names. The person who told me would know what they are talking about.

I highly doubt they were granted an exemption to compete internationally by the ISU without it being the blanket exemption covered by ISU Communication 2575 prior to the age limit increase at Congress in June. The ISU did not grant an exemption to Irina Napolitano when they found out that she had competed as a Senior at Denkova-Staviski Cup 2023 while being under the age limit. Her results were disqualified, as seen here.

Ting won Eastern Sectionals!
Yeay Ting! Cant show my FOFS breakfast pic with her at Four Conts 2019 cause she was only 16 at the time but I could see her artistry was impressive even back then and had to have my pic taken with her....Ting, what ever you decide to do with your life, I hope it is full of joy and love. BTW, that was a great comp to attend and besides me and PaulE, there were a bunch of GSers, past and present. Probably one of my top 5 fav comps I have attended. Great skaters, good friends....And the Anaheim facilities were great.

My eyes are about to fall out. My kids came in 2nd in Junior Pairs even with a botched lift! I made them a fan thread.

I loved how the K&C mic is turned up so loud. Got to hear some real-time reactions. Blackwell saying how he doesn't skate well in this rink (isn't it his home rink?), and then Fegan saying that was the best he's ever skated in his life. It was also interesting to assess Roman Skorniakov's vibe in the K&C since he speaks English with his other skaters here. He's a bit snarky, lol.

Aleksandr Fegan remains my favorite US men's junior. So expressive!

Lucius Kazanecki laid down two very nice 3As and some other nice jumps. He very much follows the Ilia and Sarah mold of nice jump technique, OK skating skills.

I've never even heard of Emmanuel Savary, but he somehow has a quad salchow! Really nice in-between skating and movement too. He doesn't seem to have a 3A, 3Lz, or 3F though.

Brave of Sophie to put in the 4S here. Hope she skates clean at Nationals.

Emanuel has been around for some time. He skated at US Nationals 2015-2019 as a senior. He WD in 19-20, presumably due to injury. This will be his first Nationals since I guess 2018-2019.
