I forgot to ask you, @elektra blue. What do you think of Katia's programmes this season? Seeing as they are so different to what we were used to getting from her.

I know you didn't, but I preferred the style of programmes she used to do.

I still say it's your fault that she's changed!

6 skaters to go. I love 3 (Hendrickx, Gubanova, Pinzarrone) and like a lot the other three here!

Maybe this will be the first time Poland will get a medal in ladies? The chances are not high but there's a chance. Rechnio was very good but no luck at that. Go Katia!

Are all the previous skaters just unimportant? I don't think so.

These "late bloomers" are my favourites in one way (I mean f.ex. Josefin and Julia S.)

I think they are skaters who don't train/can train as much in their youth. Then when they continue skating as adults they just improve.

I agree. Women's skating was turning to be boring IMO. It needs more Laras.

It was mostly the programs/music choices that historically rendered women's my least favourite discipline (that + various dramas).

And they seem to be skating "on their own terms", knowing their bodies and enjoying the experience.

While wathing Lorine to continue her strong season I found a photo. Sausage soup is a common lunch food. Put "makkarakeitto" to google and you get tenths of recipies. Finns are soup eating people. We make soup from anything.

Skated with determination, and - somewhat surprisingly - clean! Her jump takeoffs were not for the faint of heart. But well done!

Great job, Lorine! That was a really solid skate. I didn't love the music, and she's not the most exciting performer, but she did well. However, I don't like the lean that she has in the air on her jumps (other than the Axel). Her costume (save for the tights) was really neat!

I think Joos, Kaiser, Pelkonen and Mikutina have a good chance at a top 5 though.
