I think Anastasiia was a lot better than her previous performances this season. I like the music choice which is different and the red jumpsuit which is also different and her jumps were clean. Her step sequence is slow and stiff though. And I think there is too much posing without movement on the ice.

What a shame about the combination! I really like her, and I appreciate that she's trying a 'non-cutesy' style (although I feel like she looked worried/cautious most of the skate). Her spins are pretty solid, but she does need more speed and power.

Kurakova: I like the music, but the choreo is boring and generic. The dress is plain. Give me back Kill Bill.

Shame about the combo for Katia. I think SP skated like this means no chances for medalling, and she also made other less glaring mistakes. :-( And I also missed the other program.


Whenever I type "Good luck" for someone they mess up afterwards, ugh. I have to stop.

I think she looks lovely in that costume, actually. For me, the program feels like she's an elegant woman trying to be vampy and it doesn't work. She doesn't seem to connect to it for me.

That's exactly it! She looks so elegant, and then she looks like she's trying to be 'fun' with the bodysuit and music.

There is something which turns off me form Gubanova's skating. There is no personality and... perhaps what adds to this feeling is what she said during her interviews. IMHO her skating is without a soul. And I liked her a lot when she was not yet senior skater.
