I totally agree @skaterguy! Something is wrong (I dont know what) around her and it's impacting her training. Very sad about it. Especially since we had two spots for pairs and only one is going (the other pair split).

On insta she posted a story (after golden spin where she withdrew before the competition started that her greatgrandmother passed away). But her entire season is bad so idk maybe to motivation or passion anymore

Sucks a bit for Kai Jagoda who looked great at the DMs, but I think it's the right decision.

It was very tight in the end. In order to go ahead of Nikita in the selection ranking for Euros, Kai would have needed a score of 205.85, so he was off by a little more than a point. If he hadn't fallen on the 3Lo, that would have been it for him.

I am relieved they are sending a complete team, because as was pointed out in the German Nationals thread, none of the singles skaters actually fulfil the internal requirements for Euros as set by the German Fed.

I'm glad they aren't sending Janna this time. She is a lovely skater, and a huge talent for the future, but didn't seem to be coping with the pressure she was under. Hopefully she will now be able to adjust to her growth spurt and rebuild her confidence out of the public spotlight. She is still very young.

Yes, Finland's fed's rules are very clear and selected skaters are according to two personal bests (one must be CS or GP) and while Olivia and Oona had good competition at nats while Janna had to WD, also they are now before her also at substitutes' list. Emmi got the spot because of previous scores though today was not her day.
