2024 Finlandia Trophy Pairs Free Skate

i have no problem with this program... i think it's about water and clearly, the way she is in the air, she's floating... we can see wave patterns too... I don't know... it's nice.. Did I prefer both programs from last year ? Yes... Do I prefer the Japanese programs ? Yes... but then, this vehicle, when well skated will not prevent them from getting good scores... Also, are programs from Miniki much more appealing ? Probably not. I got really bored with theirs and yet, it's not original... SD-S's program at least is intriguing lol
I can see where it’s heading and I am sure it will evolve into a stunner… reminds me of my fav Chock/Bates free to wind and flame 🔥

Only 4 teams enter Cup of China with points in bank. Miniki at 15, Conti/Macii at 13 and Lia and Trennt at 7 and the Polish team at 5 points.

The most likely scenario will have the Germans with 30, the Italians with 26 and Lia and Trennt with 18. This would have Ellie and Danny as the last qualifiers for GPF.

It is very unlikely that the Germans would not qualify, even if they had a very bad outing (unless they do w/d) Italians are also probably quite safe. Lia and Trennt are not mathematically eliminated but they would need to
1) win the event 7+15 =22 and have either the Germans or the Italians be behind them in the final overall results all tiebreakers considered. It seems very unlikely that the Germans or the Italians would finish that much lower...but not impossible (for instance a 4th place for the Italians would give them 13+9 = 22 and thus Lia and Trennt would pass them.)

Did somebody say at assignments thread Japanese team is not ready enough to get Gp spot? Well they showed they are. I liked them already last week and after seeing then live I love them. Jumps seems to be their strenght. It carries them far.

they said in their post-skate interview that they are still working on combining a solid SP with solid FS in the same competition. They have not achieved that yet. In part perhaps because they depend on their jumps? but honestly the pairs standards seem lower right now without the Russians, so technically they are GP ready. I mean, we had Mar/Bed with 140 at NHK trophy. A valient effort on their part by the way.

The game in the SP is the twist. When all things are landed, that's where teams get an edge. With a double twist, they cannot yet make their move towards the top.

Crowns are so big and beautiful @NoNameFace! Congrats on getting them to the skaters. Hope you are having a great time at GP Finland. :love3:
:bsplit:
Yesterday I was beating myself HARD for how the crowning went for Ladies and Men. But I promised to myself that today I need to make effort and leave on a positive note. Which I think I did.
Congratulations to Deanna and Maxime - I believe mistakes do humanise skaters and I think it will only motivate them more. I certainly did not expect them putting crowns on their heads, but they did and Deanna truly made my day by saying to me that she loves how the crown matches her dress.
I felt 10 feet tall hearing this.

We also saw her making them live. It is amazing how fast she gets them done. When I noticed you got the seat near the K&C, I had another exciment to see if the skaters get them, but I saw it went well and everybody were thankful. You, who do not have ig/follow gsk there: Lilah's and Lewis's teddybears were also selfmade by somebody.
