I know Piper is really into fashion - and Paul might be as well? but what's the reason behind so many RD costumes? Aren't all those costumes expensive? I confess I do find it interesting though. And I actually like the lifeguard ones...

This is rather play on Barbie who always has multiple costumes (versions), hence their multiple versions of RD costume.

Without the twizzles mishap Zingas / Kolesnik would have been ahead of Brown / Brown - what makes them a bit better? Just curious what people think?

Oona and Gage were quite tight today, in practice the Browns have some of the best skating skills and knee usage of their tier of US ice dance teams, but today they were really tight and looked to be pushing too hard, so they weren't fully in their edges and knees like they can be. As a result, Zingas and Kolesnik had better flow across the ice today. The two are in reality quite close, and excel at the others' weakness - for example, Z/K have much faster twizzles with better ice coverage, whereas the Browns' are a bit smaller and slower. However, the Browns' matching is spectacular, while Z/K are still a little out of sync at times.

They're too new to seniors and without the right flag for them to get love, maybe after the Olympic cycle is finished...

Taschlers really cover the ice, like from end to end. I wish everyone would see them in person to see that speed, power and skill. And their twizzles, when on, are great.
I'm so-so about their packaging, but boy, they CAN skate.

That was so good from the Taschlers! So crisp and united, and they allowed their turns to follow through with their hip and leg movements rather than forcing them with the turn of their foot. They seemed so much more relaxed and free here, and their speed is remarkable. There was just that little twizzle bobble.

What I like about T & T is that they know their strengths and have created a style that really plays to it giving their skating a different look. Despite their speed, their weakness is actually that their footwork is not as quick and neat at times. It would look strange to slow down to do some more difficult elements so they have made some compromises. I love to watch them skate since their speed and uniqueness is very interesting and exciting.

He's right pointing out that the difficulty and composition doesn't quite match the wonderful speed and glide they have though. I find that even more true for Mrazkova/Mrazek
