That was really rough on Inga giving an edge call on her flip. Have to expect it at this point. It would be strange if they didn't find a way to punish her.

Von Felten showed why juniors shouldn't bother with the triple axel in the short program unless they have the stability of Margot. It was the right call to take her to Wuxi, but she'll probably never repeat her heroics of last week again. It does show how much of this sport is the mental side.

I was really impressed with Jin she's going to be a star. Should have been in 3rd place.

I don't know if she speaks korean but Shuxian's actually korean ethnic group, a minority ethic group in China. She use this FS from last season, which she only attend domestic competition,. Performing with traditional music of you ethnic group is actually common in Chinese domestic competition. A pair of ice dancer who are both Uighur also did that before.

Shuxian is 조선족,ethnic of Chosen in China.(I don't know whether it is exact expression in English,you know,China is a multi-ethnic country).This information is from her athelete profile in 14th national winter games in China. That's why Shuxian will skate to Arirang in her FS.I believe she is proud of the culture of her ethnic so she choose the Arirang.And Shuxian has a short training experience in Korea before.

Well, this event didn't go well, actually as bad as it could have possibly went. States are out, France is out.

Oh no, this did not go well This dumb no 3A rule fur juniors needs to freaking go. Even if she can't reach the final, she can still have a redemption free skate <3

It really should, given junior men skate pretty much the same content as junior women. It's just brutal. If she was in men's division, she would have had more points for this 3A attempt than for a clean 2A and could have went on with the combo.

Only Margot should go for this combo.
I don’t understand why the girls attempt this combo in the SP. If they execute, they usually only score 1-2 points higher than a 3Lz 3T combo. Not worth the risk in the SP. In the FP, it is worth the reward.

The top four ladies can all qualify for the Finals, as long as Yihan Or Yuseong finish in 4th. Yo is the one I worry about the most. She has been skating so well. But, she doesn’t have the technical difficulty and can be surpassed by these two girls tmrw. I’m rooting for Yo (She is my favourite junior girl, at this moment).

I really love Yo program , she will qualify if she stays in second, if she place third she would fight for a place, but if she ends on fourth it's a bye bye to the final
