He is either cognizant that he is being filmed or one of the skaters speaks English often. You do that in any language when you are bilingual and have to switch language all the time, or do one language more when you deal with professional sphere. In bilingualism, sometimes it is by place which language you speak where, sometimes by person with who you speak, sometimes it's whatever word just says it better if the equivalent does not immediately spring to mind or is not exact.

She is doing better for sure but I am not sure her technique will last... So much kick from the calf. I don't like that technique. It puts a lot of pressure on the body
