They WD from their stage because of Nikita's neck injury.
Now it's both of them. Things can only get better. 🤞🤞🤞
Didn't know Nikita's injury was that bad, as talk is usually about Karina's back problems. I was out of the loop after their GP and didn't follow it up. Thanks for letting us know. (y)

I'm so glad that Talalaikina is back at Nationals after 3 years. She was a bit lucky with her stages, both Palagina and Chaplygina had higher scores than her later on, but they both had weaker 1st stages.

A little sidenote: Gushchina's best score is 201.00 (205.15 was Sinitsyna's score at Stage 6)

It will probably be a new showdown between Gumennik and Semenenko again, but I hope Gummennik doesn't get robbed this time! My wish is that Mozalev has a great skate and can be up there too.

Gummennik was robbed when? When he got 300 points? You could as well say that Dikidzi was robbed in PCS.. ;) Honestly, I think that Semenenko and Mozalev are somewhere else...

I also absolutely don't see how Gumennik was robbed.

So Morozova/ Eremenko is not going to nationals? I guess this is a confirmation that they will be skating for France.

The list is based on the results of the RGP series. Morozov/Eremenko didn't take part in it due to the injury caused by collision.

The official entries are up!

There's one change in the men's roster: Andrei Mukhortov out, Ilya Yablokov in.

Major changes in the pairs: Vasilieva/Zaporozhets, Taisia Sobinina/Denis Khodykin and Daria Boyarintseva/Roman Pleshekov out; Maiia Shegai/Igor Shamshurov and Elizaveta Kuleshova/Vladimir Sled in.
Only 11 pairs as there are no other pairs.

No changes in women's and ice dance.

I am surprised that some decent juniors didn’t get the chance to try their luck in pairs seniors, considering there is an empty spot. Quite a few pairs disappeared this season. Not the completely top ones, but for example, what happened to Geinish/Chigiriev? What happened to Khvalko? And Mironov?

It would be nice if the reason for them to be out of nationals is that they split up and created new pairs. As much as I like the friendship between Sobinina and Khodykin, I don’t believe that they have a successful future together in competitions. Vasilieva with Zaporozhets are not going anywhere either. What about trying Vasilieva with Khodykin? Would that work physically?

I thought about it. But who could it be? Something happened to Cheremnykh/Butenko as they WD from the junior cup. Others have no experience in seniors and time to prepare a senior program, also many are not senior-eligible.

Geinish/Chigiriev
Skated in small competitions but not in RGP.

What happened to Khvalko? And Mironov?
Looking for new partners.

I'd like Vasilieva to find another partner. But it doesn't seem like she's going to change anything.
