Great skate but...
Exogenesis does not work for a SP, and that cut to the second song literally startled me

I loved the innovative Kerr ice dance siblings but am starting to be sorry they popularized Exogenesis to this degree.

I have seen that in other tournament threads as well. My predictions are missing from three of them. Maybe that's an issue for @gsk8 ?

Another enjoyable Pairs short programme. I really liked the Uzbeks (Russians) they choreography was different but they seemed a bit slow. I’m surprised the Germans and Aussies were so close. I enjoyed the Germans, really did not like the Aussie music change. Not sure I’d have Deanna and Max so far ahead, first of course. I didn’t like the music, not sure the programme is competitive against the Germans and Japanese. They Hce them to work on it.

Nice bonus sighting of Fedor Klimov. Who was the coach with the Uzbeks.

Mine are missing for both events. There were 8 pages for Nepela and now there are only 5. Lots of folks lost predictions. I had all mine in and withdrawals would not have been the reason they goofed.

1) Original version is too popular.

Well ... my favorite skate was still Emily and Spencer's, never mind errors. I'm looking forward to seeing them skate it technically better as the season progresses, and still losing nothing of the emotion, the charm, the reaching out to the audience and the genuine joy. Think I'll go watch it again! I love Emily's lift positions as much as I love Deanna's, in completely different ways ... heart song (Emily/Spencer) and head admiration (D/M).

I don't get the dislike for Ed Sheeran's music. Maybe try controlling the volume better .... for me it was soft and not at all in the realm of screaming.

It seems some pair skills are being lost with this generation of skaters - proper death spirals, synchronized spins. It is weird to think that the skaters of the 80s, 90s and 2000s were better at these skills.

Duhamel and Radford, as one suggestion, for some advice. Either she's moving inches too far past his centre or he's not turning quickly enough, and they get off-track with each other. Or so it looks from the angle I saw it.

Now I'm with some doubts because all the pairs did it great.

Is very interesting watch the Uzbekistan and Poland pairs, i liked it both SP ,Loulia & Michal is more trendy, some trace of energetic and the music is contagious, their sync is wonderful , is very interesting ones and daring SP like novel concept

katerina & Dmitrii was elegant SP and beautiful, very classical style , timeless i would expected more but is ok , the interesting is their style .

Emily & Spencer was sublime, have musicality, i liked their SP and was nice music choice more translate into a SP that song , is like soup opera, very fresh style. Is beautiful.

The problem wasn't the volume , is the music is direct from stereo mix channel to Dolby Atmos for their ensure quality (the sound volume is like they are listening in the arena) and that song needs for stereo listening recompose again from 5.2.2 channels that Dolby Atmos do to 2 channels.. Even live stream is direct from director board and is on 60fps (NTSC -ATSC standard) like the human eye see and perceive movement

Kelly Ann & Loucas is like a push of energy some errors because they wished do a dynamic and energetic program but speed is more than they are able to manage. Is a good idea and i understand that are their first grand prix of the season , the idea is great

Daria Danilova & Michel have the same music than Emily and Spencer? Wow is interesting see how interpret two pairs to the same theme and music. I liked it more their interpretation but the choreo lack musicality in some segments .

Anastasia & Hektor Is different their SP , creative because music chosen is a true challenge,i love it because interpreted faithfully the idea , powerful idea and transitions was great , even Anastasia brought me memories of Marie Fredrickson (roxette) in a way..


Deanna Stellato-Dudek & Maxime was amazing , romantic idea, perfect technically talking, except an error but was clean their skating ..
