The sun is up here in the Korean peninsula and I heard Ed Sheeran screaming "LOVE ME GIVE ME LOVE" for about 15 times in the span of less than 15 minutes without any sleep. Yes Ichat, this is why you watch figure skating
There is not enough coffee in the world to make it endurable when you have to show up for a 7 a.m. practice and someone's music that you passionately hate is played over and over. I've been known to mutter to my partner, "Could you position a death spiral close enough to them that I can cut them off at the ankles like a weed whacker?"

Deanna's dress was the star of this show for me. Gorgeous. She's giving Madison Chock a run for her money.

I didn't have too many thoughts here. The breathiness in Deanna/Maxime's music sets my teeth on edge like all whispered ASMR does. That said, I get what they're going for and it does stand out. It needs a little more grrr to it to really sell it all-out in my opinion. Still, I thought they were the class of the field.

So sad for Laurin/Ethier, getting an invalid element! That just killed them.

Very close standings (aside from Deanna/Max's solid cushion) so a lot could change in the free.

So happy to see Emily and Spencer back. I was nervous worrying about Spencer's shoulder, but he seemed to be ok. The jump error was costly, but other than that, they looked good.

Enjoyed the pair from Poland. Some of their moves were unique. Good job.

Me too!

Spencer said last year that it was the first time in several years that he'd skated with his shoulder pain-free. Of course, I worried too. Hopefully the shoulder's stronger now and healed!

Just watched the the SP. I love pairs so much. I just love the energy of the men and women who are willing to participate in this crazy discipline.

Not really sold on SD/ D's program, but they look wonderful and their twist was stunning!

I love Hocke/Kunkel so much. They were quite good but she messed up the throw which is their best element today. I really enjoy their program choices. Hope they have a great FS.

The Australians are technically sound ( outside of the twist) but I'm not sold on this program. They have a lot of personality off the ice, but not on it. At least not yet.

The Uzbek team is solid. Not interesting but solid.

Emily/ Spencer looked so much better than they did just a few weeks ago. I love Spencer so much ( truly my only real skating crush). He looked dapper. Nice program. Hope they continue to improve.

I liked the Polish Couple and the pair from the Netherlands. Nothing stunning but nice.

I really like the young Canadians. Unfortunately, it was all just messy today. Good program choice.
