I've always wanted him to take ballet or do pilates...something to help him with flexibility.
I've mentioned this before but the thing that bothers me most about Kao is his stiff, unattractive Legoman hands

And the more he tries to express with his hands and fingers, the stiffer and more claw-like they get

I saw a comment the other day that I totally agree with: Kao should get an 'artistic mentor' like Kazuki/Misha, Yuma/Lori or Shun/Guillaume. Someone to help polish his enormous talent!

I love Kao's passion, enthusiasm and energy, he is fast, fully commited and so easy to like. Symphaty wise he is my fav rn. But it would be great if he had sb in his team to work systemacitally on his presentation and details. Yuma has Carolina, Shun has Guillaume. It would be extra beneficial for his talent to work on daily basis on spins positions, lines etc. Just like Jason Brown said during junior gp stream, he had opportunity to work every day with his choreographer (not only get the choreo at once) and that's made his style so polished.

Kao's performance energy is great! I was lucky enough to watch him live this year even if it's just for FOI. To be quite honest I connect with his skating and performance the most out of the active Japanese skaters right now, and next is Kazuki, then Shun. He projects SO MUCH. The problem is really just the details and polishing. If he can maintain the energy and be more refined it would be great

Takeshi Honda was also at FOI and I felt like he was such a good example for someone who has that old school elegance and posture and positions even though he has a lowkey kind of style, that he can share with Kao. I don't think Kao needs to go to someone super artistic (I worry that his energy would be blunted), just someone to help with the simple things that can help him present himself in a more tidy way, help him sharpen his energy to be focused, but still be his Kao self. In desperation also thought of Nathan Chen tbh (if he vacations to Japan in the middle of his post-bac studies lol)

When I re-watched his FS (I notice more when I'm not nervous or distracted), I realize he doesn't know what's going on with his jumps
This concerns me more than if he knew for sure he was dealing with injury
I'm praying he gets both feet checked and imaged because he could very well have a fracture and not know

OMG that is concerning. I read him saying that what he has is just an old left foot injury that flared up, and he's been told by doctors that there's no danger of becoming serious. But maybe there's more to it than he's letting on, or as you said, maybe he's feeling off but doesn't know why... I thought it was weird he didn't enter Kinoshita Trophy this year.

I wonder as well if he needs a bit more management, last year's stomach issues were scary too. Kao is simply too talented but there's too much chaotic energy lol he needs a team to help him channel it and keep it under control.
