Can't see that happening since they hardly send out our SR ladies now. And Maddie is the only one who can get 2 GP events. So that only leaves 2 others for SCI. And I am sure one of those spots will go to Sara-Maude, since she has earned it and as CAN champ Kaiya should get the other.

Also, Skate Canada will just put her on next gen envelope.

funny. Out of curiosity, is it possible for skaters to attend these types of events out of their own personal finances without the their country's federations endorsement/financial aid?

I don't think they cut skaters unless it's a ISU championship.

Great our 4 women are there... but interesting to see how many Mexican competitors are there compared to Canadians.

I checked the European Criterium TV page on SolidSport and they have Triglav Trophy listed as one of the events. So it looks like yes and it'll be paid.

Note that Daniel RUIS (AUT) is being joined in the entries by younger brother Leo (the only entry in Intermediate Novice Men). Just a pity none of their sisters are competing as well. It would have been cool to have the whole family out in force.

I see that Leo was competing in both Singles and Pairs at Nationals this season, the latter at Basic Novice level with younger sister Natalie. But Anna and Daniel were just competing in Singles (Daniel at Junior level, and Anna at Intermediate Novice). Are they still doing Pairs together, or are they both focussing on Singles skating now?

Either way, it is good to see that all four of the siblings are out there competing in one way or another. (Did the eldest Ruis sibling, Maria, ever skate competitively?)

Day 1 of the Narcissa Cup consists of all four Basic Novice competitions. A group of 7 boys; followed by 28 younger girls; followed by 26 middle girls; followed by 24 older girls.

First up is a Chicks triple-bill. 2 boys; followed by 16 younger girls; followed by 28 older girls. And the boys are actually going out togther with the first group of younger girls. So we have a group containing 2 boys and 8 girls; followed by a group of 8 girls.

Neither will I. But I'm doing the reminder posts and keeping an eye on the livescoring to find out what is going on. One of the skaters I have "adopted" will be competing in Advanced Novices later on, so I have a vested interest.

The rule is you are not allowed to create a Fan Fest profile for a skater until they are at least 13. And I posted the profile on her 13th birthday.

Skaters representing Cyprus don't tend to move up to the next level as soon as they become eligible, like a lot of skaters in other countries do. They tend to stay at the lower level until they age out of it. Which is why we have this discrepency.
