Has anyone succeeded in growing out of being a cactus?

See, that's the tough part. You're never quite sure if they ever grow out of it.

You'll think so... because your cactus will skate an amazing performance, and you'll think he should win the Olympics. And then they break your heart the next time out.

I don't mind. If Michal Brezina somehow magically appeared on the ice right this minute, I'd demand the ISU do away with the SP requirement, and I'd root my fool head off like he had a fighting chance to win.

For crying out loud 1)my darling's skate is a result of an unhealed ankle plus upping his tech content so late in the season, not his coaching situation and 2)he chose to leave Orser, he wasn't forced into leaving. Why do people say sh*t without actually thinking and/or knowing the context
