2024 World Championships Men's Free Skate

The ISU knew what size the rink would be. The ISU awarded the World Championships to Montreal.

I think almost every rink in NA would be NHL, it is the only sustainable reason for an ice rink. So if that's the excuse, take it up with the ISU.
There have been a lot of championships and gran prixs held in North America. This should not be that big a factor.

It's also the World Championships--as a skater you prepare for the conditions. Swimmers have changed their entire swimming schedules when Worlds is in another part of the world, for example. These are elite athletes--the size of the rink is unfortunate but not an excuse.

You're right it's an ISU problem. They shouldn't award events to arenas with inadequate rinks. So unfair to skaters from Asia or anywhere they skate on regulation sized rinks. Discriminatory.

There are Olympic size rinks, like the one in Calgary that Canadian Nationals and Junior Worlds was held in.
Of course, the problem is that majority of European and Asian skaters train their programmes in that kind of a rink, they don't have this kind of a (NHL) rink to train their programmes to it.

Deniss does so many things well. Love his spins and his commitment to his art. I'm also really grateful that we're no longer dealing with the messy ponytail. I have no idea why but Lion King programs work really well across disciplines.

Denis is wearing a turtleneck and not something that shows off his chest?

sacrilege!
