Last year it was just because Guignard and Fabbri had been too experimental with their programme and the judges didn't buy it. They won't make the same mistake this season.Ice dance
Don't think being in the top 3 seeds, but the team with last pick, has worked out very well for Fear/Gibson. They are likely to be 3rd place in both their GP events, which wouldn't be enough for the GPF. Fournier-Beaudry/Cizeron and Guignard/Fabbri likely to place above them at GPdF and Guignard/Fabbri and Shibutanis at NHK. I know that FB/C and S/S are returning skaters, but they wouldn't be coming back if they weren't likely to be at the very top.
A returning reigning Olympic champion from France is probably going to generate more interest. With all due respect to the other team.No Lopareva in France - she officially stopped being the 1st number in the French team.
I believe Ami Nakai has the higher season's best. Why Jia got only one GP... I know it sometimes hard for skaters graduating from Juniors, but Ami Nakai got two, so why not Jia who finished higher at Junior Worlds... disappointing.
Not ideal timing with the other assignment but there is a SKAM host spot up for grabs.Crap The Browns only got one.
Because the most important factor for obtaining a second stage is SB.Why Jia got only one GP... I know it sometimes hard for skaters graduating from Juniors, but Ami Nakai got two, so why not Jia who finished higher at Junior Worlds... disappointing.
Interesting and on the othe hand not really understandable. Do spectators not want to see the best skaters at GP.Top 24 is guaranteed a spot, they are supposed to give a spot to those lower ranked teams if they're in the SB 24.
A medal at JW or JGPF gives one spot on the senior GP. That applied to both Jia Shin and Ami Nakai. Ami was also top 24 SB and Jia wasn't. I think that must be what made the difference for the second spot. Why Jia got only one GP... I know it sometimes hard for skaters graduating from Juniors, but Ami Nakai got two, so why not Jia who finished higher at Junior Worlds... disappointing.
Neither of them will get to the final anyway.Final comment from me
LaLa are againt CPom for their two assignments... one in Canada and one in the USA..
Let's just see how that plays out... until worlds, LaLa had recently always won against CPom.
Two silvers could do it. One of these teams actually has a chance.Neither of them will get to the final anyway.
I want to see those lower ranked skaters on the GP. They deserve a chance and can surprise when given one. Some of the teams who didn't get two spots initially last season did.Interesting and on the othe hand not really understandable. Do spectators not want to see the best skaters at GP.
I am very sad that Skate America gave away a men's spot. Jacob really deserved it.

lol.. i just cannot help myself...I am very sad that Skate America gave away a men's spot. Jacob really deserved it.
