Oooooh!!!!!!!! All being well, this will be the event where my two favourite girls, Marilena and Stefania, go head-to-head on the international stage for the first time!!!

:cheer:   :party2: :points: :hb:

(I'm choosing my words carefully, as I still have no idea whether there was actually a National Championships for the season just ended).

Not only that, but I have another kid in Juniors. It is always nice to see Zhasmin's name on an entry list, as we don't get to see her on the international stage too often.

And there are quite a few other skaters I like.

Oh, I hope there is a free livestream. I would love to be able to watch this event. The times are good for me, and there is only Formula 1 on that weekend.

I am unclear about the cost of the stream. On the Philippine Skating Union website it says SEK 500 which can't be right - that would be EUR 44!

Anyone have any information on this?

On the Philippine Skating Union Facebook page it says that the stream is $10 per day or $40 for all 5 days. It prompts you to click on a link to their website where it says an all access pass is 500 SEK. That is $52.40 USD so it’s inconsistent.

So it’s between 34 EUR and 44 EUR for all 5 days. Maybe it’s worth emailing the organizers to ask how to get the $40/$10 price they’re advertising.

This event streamed for free on YouTube 2 years ago. I guess the sport has pretty much all gone behind a paywall at this point. It’s a real shame.

While I understand that organizing and running an event is costly, it makes almost impossible to gain new fans.

Noooooo!!!!!

I've gone from having three kids in the entries to having just one! 😞

Marilena and Stefania have both disappeared from Senior Ladies, so we will not be getting their first head-to-head just yet. But Zhasmin is still there in Junior Ladies.

Oh, well. For the past couple of days, I have been really annoyed about it being on a pay stream, and that as a result I would be missing out on seeing my two favourite girls. But, now that they aren't there, I don't feel as bad about not forking out for it.

2nd Gyujin Hwang(South Korea)33.37

I can't find a live stream on qq.live for today. The previous 2 days the stream was available. I watched junior women short program yesterday and it was rather good quality except for the fact that it got frozen from time to time and as a result starting numbers 15-18 were unavailable. If someone finds the link for today, please, provide it here.

I just joined the livestream to watch pairs, and oh, it's almost two hours behind the schedule?

I heard/read that the rink was having problems with the zamboni (breaking down or something?), so they had to do the manual resurfacing (with people) of the ice. So the event was pushing back from the very beginning...

The last group skaters of Sr. women's SP is starting now.

Beverly (Yi) is in such good form - She really wants that Olympic qualifier (and then the Olympic) spot. She's the only one of the Chinese women to have already been given a host spot at CoC, and for good reason, it seems. The other two Chinese women also did well. Ruiyang placed 3rd at the JGP selection competition, but I hope they give her one of the GP host spots (the GP selection competition is later this week) and instead give the JGP spots to those who aren't Senior-eligible yet.

Tara's jumps also look better than last season. Hopefully, her health struggles are behind her. Just a few issues on the 2A and the spins, but well done otherwise.
