2025 BC/YT Super Series Victoria Day | May 16-18

The 2025 BC/YT Section Super Series Victoria Day will be held from May 16 to 18, 2025 at the Fleetwood Arena, 16555 Fraser Hwy, in Surrey, British Columbia.
The competition is sanctioned by and held under the Rules of Skate Canada.

This event is part of the new season already (using rules from the new season). For those of you in need of some skating, here's your chance

I caught up on the Junior Pairs.

Wong/Conforti did a 1Tw, so I'm assuming the 2Tw is still a work in progress. They've got another season before they're eligible internationally to work on it. Their short is Je Te Laisserai Des Mots by Patrick Watson.

Menard/Dunn had Reel Around The Sun, it could be a fun program by Nationals. Still rough, they've got time to polish it before NextGen if they're on the team. I think they should be, I'm putting all the Junior Pairs teams on it.

Death spiral this season in the short is backward inside, while the throw is either a 2/3T or a 2/3 F/Lz.

39.83 for Christopher Manis, he had a fall in the step sequence. I'm interested in seeing how he does with Keeping Me Alive, it could be a good push for him presentation wise that he needs.

48.54 for Nico Conforti, had a fall on the combo. He made Masquerade Waltz from his FS to his SP for this season.

Louie Fukuda-Wu has Sign of the Times, I am glad I like the song with how much it's used. Fell on his axel entry though so he only gets the -1 deduction with no valid jump 41.02, he's happy with it

William Chan - Run Boy Run for his short. Popped the opening jump of his combo, I'm not sure if his combo was valid since he put his foot down after that pop and did a double after. 54.66 into first. Everything else looked solid other than the combo, no 3A attempt though. I'm thinking it'll be between him and Parker for Junior Men at Nationals.

Tehryn Lee - Dust In The Wind, fall on the 3Lo. 49.55 and finishes in second place.

Seoyoung Kim - kept her SP from 2024-25, 54.23 was her score. She looked happy in the kiss and cry with Keegan Murphy. Always fun to see who turns up in BC. TES went down about 5 points, so she must have had some URs.

Amy Shao Ning Yang - Mad World 2WEI cover. She had a 2Lz as a solo jump? Interesting if she's working on upgrading her content. Dark music, I like Amy's performance for it. 47.90

i was so dead last night I went to bed early... BC times are usually fine for me... not this weekend

I wish Skate Canada posted all these summer events on their site.... or is there a place where I can find them all other than just going to each province's site ?

They don't, it'd be nice if they had a centralized way to do it. It'd be a good way to promote viewership of them by Skate Canada.
