Not tremendously relevant here, but I’m so excited I just had to share—bought my ticket for Euros 2026 in Sheffield this morning!

Have never been to the UK, and have wanted to visit since I was a wee child!

I'm also looking to go to Prague next year - especially as I will have no accommodation/travel costs for Sheffield Euros - (that's how I'm justifying it, anyhow!)

Does anyone know who the female arena announcer is? She also did the announcing for the Tallinn World Juniors in 2020. She has such a pleasant timbre at least to my ear. I could listen to her at every event. I like how she announces the skaters as being "in the first place" or "in the third place" too .

It is really lovely! Been a great combo of sport and culture, but I am totally knackered now. One more day of sightseeing.

We are in Surrey so will have to drive and stay overnight for Sheffield, but it can still be done on a shoestring, without using holidays.

Our justification for Prague is that it is likely to be FAR more affordable and easier to get tickets and accommodation than the Olympics!
