It’s the kind of program I usually hate but it suits dasha well !! Wasn’t expecting a quad neither.

I think I like it, the dress is also cool, though Dasha, for now, seems more focused on the elements. The jumps were all over the place - Some really good like the 4T+2T, a few falls, but better here than at the actual important starts in the season. It has potential.

Trusova did 5 quads this time four years ago, look where we are now many can barely land triples.

There are various factors, some controversial and I might be accused of peddling conspiracies so I will hold back.

The transitions in the music cut in Sofia M's program are brutal No connection just changes "right on your face" lets say. The dress also follows the same principle and does not good not but guess that's hopefully easier to change

I'll be honest, after the horrid music cuts of yesterday and earlier today, I didn't even really notice the music cuts in Sofia M.'s program. I guess I'll have to watch it again.

Yea I didn't notice anything wrong with her program either. Usually I am overly sensitive to bad cuts.

One fall yesterday ironically from the girl going to the Olympics, today what a mess. Not only falling, but so many cheated landing too. Test skates is two weeks later but the preparation is not like in previous years from many of these skaters.

I like the program just fine (though I think Alina would also do really well with something more fire-y), but I'm not sure about this dress. I really like how it looks up close, but not really from far away.

Jumps were as they were, better actually than I expected after hearing that she was injured during the summer. Good vibes and best wishes for her continued recovery.

Okay, this is much better for Kat. Love the colour of the dress (more green costumes, please) and the program lends itself much more to her strengths.

The jumps weren't all there but not as bad as last season, so I will keep hoping, thank you very much.

Better than I expected to be honest. Did well to add that 3T to the opening combo. So many underrotations though.

Test skates was a disaster last season as well though for a lot of girls. Probably more falls than there are here.

But yea, its definitely a rushed event. The least hyped test skates in a long time. Really sad. I wish Sadkova or Alisa had a more interesting FS, it would at least make the Anna-Mura-Dasha/Alisa trio very interesting throughout the season.

In any case we have a lot of wildcards and non-team skaters to look forward to in Russia. The season should be quite good. Also the juniors are gonna be stupendous, we haven't even seen Bazyluk yet.

Oh, and we have the return of a certain someone to look forward to.

Mura is almost unrecognisable as a skate.

I made a comment yesterday. I think this will be the final season for Mura and Akatieva. They both struggle, and it's not a sudden thing based on this weekend, but a degradation over the past 18 months.

Sophia M had HUGE triple jumps though. The lutz combo was gorgeous. Akatieva...god I want to see her get back to where she was. I'm praying for it. But Akatieva's triples are fairly low and barely rotated.
