I've not seen it yet. I take it from your response it leaves something to be desired. LOL

I've watched skating since the Katerina Witt days. I admit I do enjoy seeing the skaters use music with lyrics, but I never thought I'd see someone skate to RuPaul belting "You better work!" LOL

I think this program really depends on Ami being clean and being effervescent. She couldn't achieve the former today and she showed the latter only during some parts of the program. I look forward to seeing how she bounces back in the free.

Ami fell on the 3Axel, but everything else was delivered with quality and charm. I’m guessing she will get about 69 points for that effort. She gets 66.55; far off from the 78 points she got 2 weeks ago.

I don't know if I would have put the axel in the short here; it's not always consistent for her and she could win the short here without it.

experience is a good teacher, especially if her team thinks she has a podium shot later

I think it’s by design. She is trying to sell herself as the rookie in a sea of veterans looking for Olympic spots.

She’s selling herself as the future not the setting sun.

Ahhh, Ami, I worried this would happen, she's always been a bit of a nervy skater. I don't know if I would have put the axel in the short here; it's not always consistent for her and she could win the short here without it. She really disconnected for the first two jump passes, which will hurt her PCS a little bit, but she did well to get a 3T out of the lutz and the loop was as gorgeous as always. She's really lucky to avoid a call on the axel, that would've really hurt her score.

I would rather say that for a skater just out of Juniors and just taking off, it's not a bad moment for having that sort of wrong moment; definitely better than at All-Japan Nationals with the field depth there. Provided that it doesn't deprive her of the Final altogether, of course.

I've passed by Eteri before at Skate America 2019... Didn't talk to her, just took a photo from a distance...

The effervescent ingenue has a habit of doing quite well at the Olympics - see Tara, Sarah Hughes et al....

My opinion on this group is that Yuna made all the other skaters look juniorish, lacking in musicality, and sloppy. And for that she got half a point more in PCS than Ami.....

I like Ami and Sara Maude but it really is night and day performance wise compared to Yuna.

Ahsun and Ami have nice jumps.
