Does the UK need Ed to qualify for the hope of a team event ?

They already have 3 out of 4, so, if they made it, he could get a quota spot.

Possibly dependent on the Japanese ID team qualifying in their own right. If they don't, they will take 2/5 quota spots (and the same for the Kovalevs in pairs), and their might not be enough for the lower ranked countries such as GB.

It's looking good for the Kovalevs to qualify on their own. One other possibility that would be bad for Ed is if China magically qualifies for the team event, but needs dance.
