This team is right now in a battle for the pewter - they are almost seven points back from third after the short, which is a huge gap to overcome. They don't quite have the same basics as the teams currently on the podium, but they make up for it with packed SBS jump value. Unfortunately, the 3F here didn't work out, and a couple little errors with the combo spin and the lutz throw will keep them in fourth unless a team ahead of them has a disaster, but this was still an extremely strong outing from them. The lifts were really strong - Daniil is such a good partner - and the twist was also gorgeous.

Wow, what a skate! This team is so good - Misha is such a reliable partner and Alisa has such a delicate, elegant quality. They've really come together as a team. The one thing holding them back is their SBS jumps, which are a little shaky at times, but today they fought and got their full BV out, even though the combo was a little under. The throws were utterly gorgeous. They found lots of time in this packed program for little choreographic nuances, and I could watch Alisa's extension all day. This program will put a lot of pressure on Chan/Howe - this is a huge statement from this team!

awww, it's so nice seeing the joy on their face at the end of the program!
