2025 World Championships Men's Short Program

Does the ISU tell the commentators to mention where they were born if they were born in Russia but skate for another country? They seem to do it 90% of the time. I don't recall anyone saying here is Lilah Fear born in Canada...
Do you watch ice dance ? They mention all the time the skaters born in CAN or USA skating for other countries... All the time. So no, it's not a Russian exclusivity.

They are broadcasters so you want someone who can enunciate well, insightful, smooth broadcasting voice, objective (don't want an ISU company hype man/woman). Simon Reed fits this bill perfectly.

KMT is more insightful than Tara at least, and the voice is no worse. I'm becoming used to the voice anyway. Simon and KMT would be a good team.
Simon Reed objective and insightful? Seriously?

Not a pretty 3A, but that's probably his first Short of the season without a big error (as in a fall or an invalid element). Probably won't be enough, but it is what it is.

(Genrikh will be Sr-eligible next season, so wouldn't be surprised to see him being sent to the qualifying competition in China).

Not just ice dance.

Let's see, where was Keegan Messing born? A state in the USA I think? Does it start with an A? And did we hear that all the time ;)

His spins and skating skills are excellent, his 3Lz was textbook, the 3T+3T was very good (regardless of having 4T+3T in the planned program content), his only real error was the turn out of the 3A.
He lost approx. 8-9 points compared to CoC on the two mentioned jumping passes - 83 minus 8 would be exactly 75, so it's quite reasonable. At 4CC, he scored 70 without a combo and a fall deduction.

Are you there? I thought the Spanish skater was good too.
