This young Japanese pair makes me happy even with the mistakes. It is so fun to watch them learn and grow. They have a freshness and sense of style that is uniquely them.

Interestingly enough, they tend to be stronger in the Free, which is unusual for young pairs teams. I have the unlucky feeling we won't be seeing a redemption skate for them this time, though.

After reading some the comments here, I was expecting Betty Boop. Her voice is fine and she obviously has a great deal of pairs knowledge to impart.

Yes. I think her voice has improved a bit from her earlier commentating spots. I expected it to he high, so I can appreciate it isn't as bad as I remember.

This was Milania and Flilppo's best outing of the season right when they needed it most - their speed and ice coverage was much improved, and their elements were the best that I've seen them. Aside from a slightly tight twist and being off-sync in the combo spin, they skated cleanly and got the audience on their side, and I love their entrance into the death spiral. This was a huge aid in their quest towards Olympic spots, although I fear Filippo hurt his hand .
