I really like Mayuko Oka's unconventional programs and her musicality. Beautiful skater. I hope the mistakes don't drop her from the podium. She's got another year in juniors but to me, she already skates like a senior lady.

Mayuko's choreo sequence was hands down my favorite of this entire event. Originality, speed, flow and amazing flexibility ... it had it all.

Shimada almost fell on the first combo spin. And there’s this moment after the 3F where it looked like she forgot the choreography. This wasn’t her best, but she did enough for her fourth title. Great musicality in the final spin. I think Bath should win the free, to be honest.

same here if Mao wins. I was doing very well until women . no wonder it's my least favourite discipline

Even when ill, Mao is insanely good. It was a really smart decision to have her skip the 4T and replace it with a 3F, and do a 3S+2T as her second combo. This wasn't as magical as some of her other JWorlds performances, and there will be a few little errors and BV things that will keep her score down, but she did everything necessary to have an undefeated Junior career heading into seniors despite having some serious extenuating circumstances

I hope she's okay and just exhausted/dealing with cramps or stitches, it seems that she is really holding her right leg/side

I was going to say that Mao had nothing to prove and should have dropped out if she was sick and kept her winning streak intact but she showed what a champion she is.

O gosh, she's crearly very unwell and not herself but yet she gave it all. How mentally stong that girl is, I admire her even more. Will it be enough? Certainly TES will drop but her margin and PCS may help her.
