This isn't at all a reflection of their quality, little boss Rui had a tough night, but this team still has so much potential. That 4Tw is just amazing, as is their lifts and throws when landed. I will be excited to see them with new material next season, I don't think this program matches with their skating styles and it really requires a clean skate to sell. Come back stronger next year, kids! You are amazing!

I agree.. this program... it's not even a program. a bunch of songs ... they are so promising.

Oh no, not their day, throws were not throwing, shame, cause it's usually such a good element for them. Good fight to not fall on that ending pose. Quad twist was amazing, just wow. Dead spiral as well. Anyway, disapointing result for them but they have plenty of time to earn the titles.

I do love them though. They're so talented and promising, and seem to have such a good relationship, which is not a given in pairs.

HERRERA/KHOBTA ON THE PODIUM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 
I'm sooooo happy and excited for them, this will help them get Senior GP spots next year and I am super excited to see how they improve in the off-season!

GUO Rui / ZHANG Yiwen (CHN) doing a "Greatest Showman" programme.
Unfortunately, it was not the Greatest Programme.
It was verging on a disaster skate.
I know what's wrong. It's because they are wearing black costumes. If Yiwen had been wearing a red circus master's costume like every other male skater does when skating to music from that film, they would have done better.
They were both bemused when they finished.
Yeah, when they were waiting for their scores, they were accepting of what was coming.
They go into 7th position in the FS, and 4th position overall.

This program from Ava and Yoni is so fantastic, even if this wasn't the skate they wanted to have. They managed to avoid too many errors, and their PCS and SP lead should help them stay ahead to guarantee at least a silver. It's amazing the qualities this program has unlocked in them as skaters and performers, it just flew by and I had forgotten the errors by the end.

I think this team is just a tad too young/rough around the edges to pull off this romantic poet/embodiment of the moon concept. Maybe in a couple more seasons
