2026 Russian Junior Nationals

Well, considering she's leading the competiton right now, your face is red.

Also maybe consider not commenting on someone's mother like she's not a human being with feelings. I thought we were past this kind of tripe in commenting on skaters? It's 2026, not 1980.
Teenage Kostyleva is in a very, very difficult situation due to her mother's serious behavorial/mental health issues and I hope random people don't add to that even if she doesn't skate a clean free.

I think Kostyleva was rewarded for 3A3T with maintaining a decent enough glide/speed.
But this didn't happen. The 3A lost significant speed then the 3T lost even more. She was barely gliding at all after the combo was finished. Very shaky.

It was rotated and exited with a leg lift. I mean glide and speed during the rest of the program. There were other mistakes, however. The difference in score is minimal, and Pleskacheva clearly collected highest PCSs and Russians tend to resolve tech vs pcs in favor of tech

Unfortunately, I have to go to work now, so will not be able to watch the rest live. FS for junior women will be interesting and I sincerely hope for a strong come back for Dzepka. I love her free program.

Agata is 3rd in the SP. I don't think she might podium because of her content. I just hope she doesn't bomb because of nerves like it happened at some previous Nats.
I felt something was off in her SP performance today. Usually she wows on ice, and i hope wow factor will be there in tne free.

I think she was probably too focused in the first half.
It felt like most of the skaters were a bit stiff today and underperforming in projection. Maybe ice condition, maybe competition pressure, maybe end of the season, maybe Olympics in parallel... who knows. Saransk sometimes is not the best venue for juniors. I remember the junior men underperforming there one year collectively and RusFed telling they will have skate-offs for JWC lol.

Oh, I remember that Nats. The main gold contender (Gleb) WD, Yablokov won with multiple falls, Ugozhaev was right behind him with no quads.

WTF happened with Dzepka :cry3: well, she's only 8 points off from 3rd and 6 points off from 6th, so she can still medal or at least make the national team if she's clean in the free...but she's been solid in her short all season, so this is shocking.
But I'm happy to see that Lena landed everything. Hope she does the same in the free

Aldar factured his leg just a month ago by falling from stairs. Recently he had a total disaster skate at Grushman Memorial because his shoelace broke. Hopefully he has a good free here tomorrow.
